Video Projects: Khristian A. Howell

I know, it’s been a while since my last blog post here. October has been a very busy time, with a lot of things happening all at once. First off, I want to share with you another video segment I shot, produced, and edited – this time, for my wife’s business www.khristianahowell.com. The video serves as a trailer to the new e-book she has written as a guide book to help other independent artists.

Khristian was also featured in the October edition of Better Homes & Gardens. Here’s a picture I took of the article. I am really excited to her business taking off, and thrilled to help out wherever I can!

Video Projects: PBS Stories

Gang Violence in the Yakima Valley

Here’s a blast from the past!

This is a collection of long format docu-news projects I did for KCTS-TV 9, PBS for Seattle, Washington. As I re-organize my personal site here, I wanted to make sure to keep these available to share with you.

Each one of these story aired on the news magazine program “KCTS-9 Connects. It was a great experience working with that station’s talented staff of photographers and editors. Hope you enjoy.

Video Projects: $21K and climbing!

When Atlanta Artist and Pattern Designer Jessica Swift approached me about making a quick video for her Kickstarter project, I got excited! She had an ambitions plan – her goal was to raise at least $18,000 to start manufacturing her own brand of rain boots, and she wanted a quirky, cool, simply-shot video with a choppy, YouTube-esque feel. Given that video is so crucial to any successful Kickstarter project, Jessica wanted to make sure that her video was not only appealing, but also that people could immediately connect with her personality, and her goal.

We decided that a simple approach would be the best approach. I actually shot and edited most of this video on my iPhone! Within 20 days of posting her video and promoting her Kickstarter Project via twitter, facebook, etc., Jessica quickly surpassed her goal! As of July 14th, the rain boots project has amassed $21,385 and counting! I had a great time working with Jessica, and am really thrilled to see her having so much success!
